Studio Goals

The goals of Angelica’s Piano Studio are to provide a positive professional attitude and a nurturing supportive environment suitable for learning and the enjoyment of music. Lesson programs are designed to meet specific needs of each student. This includes a balance of theory, functional playing, sight playing, ear training, and incorporating a variety of musical styles appropriate to the student’s level of proficiency, individual interest and learning style. Students will be encouraged to participate in programs designed to further these goals, such as recitals, festivals and adjudications. Studio recitals and other performance opportunities are available through out the year and are offered for the benefit of all students (Keyboard Gymnastics, PMTA Events, Fall and Spring Studio Recitals). The studio assures the continuing development of the highest quality of all phases of musicianship in the student, the establishment of good study habits and concentration, which will carry over to all learning situations. And the added benefit of an enjoyable experience of making music at the piano individually and/or with others.
