Angelica's Piano Studio

Schedule:
• The studio’s academic year is June-May. The studio observes the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Winter Holiday, including New Year’s Day Memorial Day, Independence Day.


Instruction/Practice Requirements:
• Students are to arrive on time and prepared with all music books needed for the lesson. Each student is expected and is responsible for practicing the amount of time agreed upon by the student and teacher five days a week. Students are expected to READ and follow practice instructions. Lesson termination will be discussed with parent and student who habitually do not practice, progress, or follow the studio procedures. Parents are responsible for providing a working instrument and environment conducive to learning, as well as aiding the student to establish a consistent practice routine. The discipline begins at home.


Fees and Tuition:
• Monthly tuition is $110/month. Tuition reserves a weekly 45 minute lesson on an agreed upon time and day. It does not include materials. Payment of tuition is due before the 10th of the month. If payment is not received on time, your child’s lesson will be suspended until your account is brought up to date. Tuition will be adjusted for days the studio is closed. Checks should be made payable to Angelica Prado-Stern. A monthly statement, which includes tuition/itemized materials, fees, and dates of upcoming events etc, will be mailed before the 1st of the month.

• All students wishing to continue being enrolled in the studio for the following year will be assessed a non-refundable Enrollment fee of $40 in May or at the start of lessons. This will maintain a current status with the studio during the summer months. The Enrollment fee is due May 1st.


Summer Months:
• Students are encouraged to continue during the summer months. Lessons are scheduled around vacation times, but once the schedule is established, notification of missed lessons must be made in advance, 2 weeks before the new month, to avoid being charged.


Missed Lessons:
• Tuition will not be refunded for missed lessons. Notification in advance of lesson missed is expected. A 24- hour notice if possible is appreciated. You are not guaranteed a make up for any lesson missed for any reason. Lessons missed or canceled on the day of the lesson will NOT be rescheduled. If the teacher is unable to teach, the teacher will reschedule the lesson or credit the lesson.


Discontinued Lessons:
• If a parents needs to terminate lessons, even if it is temporarily, a month’s notice is requested. No refunds will be made for lessons discontinued in the middle of the month, except for uncontrollable circumstance.

Materials:
• Materials are dispersed through out the year as the student progresses. Materials will be billed separately on the monthly statement as music is distributed.


Recitals/Auditions and additional Events
• Recitals and Events such as Fall Festival, Music at the Mall, Ensemble, Keyboard Gymnastics, Studio Festival, and Arizona Study program are voluntary programs offered to students who have demonstrated an ability to follow through on commitments and to prepare pieces in a timely manner following instructions of the teacher. Students who do not prepare in this manner will not be invited to participate.

• Major recitals are held in Nov. and April. Students are expected to stay for the entire recital and dress respectfully. Fees for special auditions must be paid to the teacher before the deadline, or your child will not be registered. Teacher sends in one check for all students.


Studio Courtesy and Your Lesson Time:
• Students and parents are guests in my home. I expect them to behave in a respectful manner. No food or drinks allowed in the studio. Only student taking lessons are allowed in the studio during teaching hours. Parents are to drop off/pick up students in front of my home/drive way only. You are responsible to make sure your child is in the studio before you drive away. My neighbors and I will appreciate you courtesy.
